Bioengineering in Ireland runs annually since the first conference in 1995, starting with a small interdisciplinary meeting of engineers and clinicians in Tulfarris. The University of Galway (previously, National University of Ireland, Galway) hosted the last conference in 2022, which saw almost 200 delegates coming together to share their science and showcase the excellent research that is being conducted across the different universities and colleges of Ireland. The research delegates presented exciting research findings in biomechanics, biomaterials, medical device design, tissue engineering, regenerative medicine and imaging.
At the conference, Aoife won an award in the biomechanics section. Congratulations Aoife!
